Haha. This all reminds me of that time Bill Clinton resigned after cheating on his wife.

Oh wait, that never happened.

I'm glad we're all suddenly getting very scrupulous though, even if it's only for political reasons. (I agree that he should resign. I'm pleased and surprised to find liberals agreeing with me on a subject of moral character in politics. I hope the conversion isn't temporary.)

Speaking just for myself, I'm not one to say that someone should resign simply for infidelity. But, if Sanford is out of office I'm fine with that. As for Clinton, I don't think he should have resigned after cheating on his wife. I think he never should have been elected in the first place because he signed off on the execution of a mentally handicapped prisoner. That's just me.
