Book 'em, Dawko

Dawkins and Hitch are going to try to arrest the Pope when he travels to the UK. Or, so the internets say (here). I have a hard time believing this is a real story, but I have a hard time not believing what I read on the internets.

Just because B.XVI looks like the Emperor from Star Wars does not mean that he acts like him. The whole thing is an obvious non-story, tantamount to the worst kind of slander perpetrated by the APs bad reporting.

Anyone with a smattering of knowledge about how things actually work in the RC Church would say something like the following:

Anon,

Your comment started as a strong contender for best comment of the year. I don't quite get the last part. _This_ article seems to have little to say about the Pope. I don't see how noting that someone has been threatened with arrest = slandering someone's good name, especially when the threat is being made by two authors.
