Why study philosophy?

One reason would be because you want to be in demand on the job market. Why study philosophy?

I work as a civil engineer, and working for a multinational company obviously english (not my native language) is a must, and a university degree is a big plus. But also, subjects like philosophy, history and psychology supports you, you get in all kinds of situations where you have to act logically, take sound decisions, not only based on technical issues.
